UK Anglers made to work for their catches during the hot sunny weather.

Len and John were over once again for their yearly trip to Ireland to stay with host Kevin at Melview Fishing Lodge; these guys know what’s expected when the weather is not in their favour. Kevin said, these guys have been here many times and have experienced all kinds of weather conditions and just do what is required at the time. So it was late evenings prebaiting and 04:00 starts which proved to be productive for the pair, over the week they produced some great fish with Bream to 7lb and lots of Tench to 6lb 12oz. For fish safety, the guys did release most of the Tench straight away due to signs of the fish nearly ready to spawn. Well done, lads and thanks for the company. I look forward to seeing you again next year.

Elvin – Catching some nice Rudd and Hybrids.

Elvin who is also a yearly regular to Melview Fishing Lodge decided on a more relaxed and laid back approach to his fishing holiday, however he did manage to catch some nice Hybrids and Rudd during his stay. Kevin said, Elvin is normally into the Tench fishing, but this was proving to be a little difficult due to the hot sun and bright conditions and starting a little later than others, but still an enjoyable trip for him. Thanks again Elvin for your company and hope to see you again next year.

ALL FISH RETURNED UNHARMED.
