UK Anglers Have Some Great Bream And Tench Fishing around Longford

Kevin Lyons reports that regular anglers Len and John from the UK were over for their annual fishing trip to Ireland to stay at Melview Fishing Lodge. On arrival it was straight into mixing up some prebait ready to bait up in the evening. The next morning it was up and out the door by 4am, and this continued for the duration of their stay. Kevin told us that they are out early every year despite the weather.

Well the prebaiting and early mornings paid off for them, on their 4th day they managed a few Bream to over the 7lb mark and then on their 5th day John managed his personal best Irish Bream of 9lb 3oz. Both Len and John made the comment that when you catch fish of this quality you don’t worry about numbers of fish you catch. Kevin said, “the guys always have good catches when they are here but this one will be one to remember for them.”

ALL FISH RETURNED UNHARMED.
