UK Angler Beats His Personal Best In Ireland
Steve Gilbey was over from the UK for a spot of pike fishing and this time decided to use Melview Fishing Lodge in Longford as his base, Steve said that during his past trips to Ireland he has managed to catch pike, but not managed anything much more than 14lb.
Host Kevin had to try and do something about that and set off to show Steve a few places to fish, starting off from the shore line first of all. Steve managed to catch a few pike, but nothing to top that 14lb mark. So host Kevin arranged a couple of days out on the boat and it proved to be the right move, Steve managed some nice fish, the biggest being 18lb 4oz, so well done Steve.
ALL FISH RETURNED UNHARMED.
