Alan Fitzjohn – With a nice catch of Tench and Roach from the canal.

Angling Reports - 04 July 2014

Alan Fitzjohn from Lancashire along with his wife Paula were over for a bit of fishing, touring and shopping and decided to use Melview Lodge as their base. The fishing the first few days was very hard going due to the bright sun light and temperatures, Kevin said after talking with a few other anglers this seemed to be the case in most places.  The best results came on the pole using maggot and worm with caster, various seed and hemp fed over the top. Kevin said I had the pleasure of fishing with them for a couple of days and it was great, the lightly prebaited swims produced some good Tench, Roach, Hybrids and nice Perch.  Kevin added the bright weather was against them from the start but they stuck with it and caught some nice fish in the end, and we hope to see them back to Ireland soon.
