Gary Owens with 11 bream for 39 lb. 10 oz

Angling Reports - 28 September 2012

Gary Owens from the UK who has now been to Ireland and Melview Lodge in Longford on a number of occasions, and he was back looking for some good Irish Bream and Tench. His week started with Hybrids and Roach from a prebaited venue and by the third day he was into a few Bream, and during that session landed a personal best of 7 lb. 9 oz. Kevin said we were talking back at the Lodge and I’m not sure how it came about but we decided to fish a couple of days and nights, while Gary was fishing another venue I prebaited a few times and we stated to fish their early one evening. The fish were showing straight away which resulted in Gary taking 39 lb. 10 oz. of Bream before dark, we decided not to put Roach etc into the keep nets due to their safety. We decided to weigh and release the fish along with a picture, before settling in for the night we heavily prebaited the swim which produced a few Bream, Hybrids and Roach which were released straight back.
