Angling Reports - 29 September 2009

The Loughs and Rivers around Longford and Strokestown areas fished well last week, however some days were better than others. Angling guests of Melview lodge achieved catch weights of between 50lbs and 190lbs. The weather has improved and water levels at most locations are back to near normal at time of writing. As mentioned last week fish usually start to feed again once water levels start to drop after flooding and fish are more settled now feeding much better with better weights. However on a few occasions the fish were too well fed, moping up on swims that weren pre-baited the night before, leaving the anglers with a lot of work to do. At the time of writing there are some good reports coming in, so logon next week to catch up on the present catches.
