Mike Smithers with a Bream of 6lbs 4ozs

Angling Reports - 15 May 2008

The lakes in and around Longford and Strokestown, and the shore lines of the bigger Loughs reachable only by boat have been producing some good fishing. Catches to 285lbs and a few over the 100lbs have been recorded. The bright, hot sunny conditions have slowed the Bream catches down a little as are about to start spawning in some places. Not all is lost because it has not put the Tench off. At the time of writing there have been some great catches of Tench. Tune in next week to see more catch pictures and how its fishing.
