Strokestown Lakes

Angling Reports - 21 September 2005

The Strokestown lakes has been producing some big Rudd recently. Kevin enjoyed a few hours himself and managed to catch some of these lovely fish using chopped worm and, best Rudd weighed in at 2lb-3oz and a bonus 4lb Tench.

The Strokestown lakes are still fishing well, however Bream weights have dropped off a little due to the constant changes in the weather. The fish seem to be there but are reluctant to get there heads down and feed. Rooskey and the surrounding lakes have been fishing fairly well in the overcast and windy conditions, with Roach, Rudd, skimmers and some big Tench making up reasonably good catches.
