Things Are Hotting Up On The Strokestown Lakes

Angling Reports - 27 April 2005

Things are starting to hot up around the Strokestown lakes and Lanesboro on the river Shannon, The lakes have seen Bream catches to 104lb ( pictures to follow ) and the river has been producing catches of quality Roach to 2lb and Hybrids to 3lb. Peter Braithwaite from Leeds pictured above must have finished up with over 80lb, Robert Dunn of Newcastle and Jamie Porteous were heading towards the 100lb mark. Tench have also been caught to 5lb-7oz in some of the lakes, however some lakes will need a kick start so pre-baiting two or three times before you fish them will help.
