Plenty Of Tench Near Rooskey For Angling Guests Of Melview Lodge
Geoff from Watford Herts decided to bring Daniel age 14 and James 12 to Ireland for a short trip during their half term week. They were guests of Kevin and Jane Lyons at Melview Lodge Longford. During their visit Kevin took them out on a fishing trip in the Rooskey area. In just three and half hours they had caught twenty two Tench between them. Geoff said it’s February and this has to be one of the best days out I’ve had, and Daniel and James enjoyed it. Kevin showed us where to fish and were shown how to set up and pole fish. We fed it as we were shown and it was only ten minutes before James had a fish then lost it. After that they had a great time said Kevin, catching Tench to 5lb 12oz and learning basic pole control a good time was had by all.
