Tench to Specimen Size Continue to Provide Good Sport for Angling Guests on the Strokestown Lakes

Angling Reports - 04 August 2004

Mervin and Lorna from Shropshire had a good nine day’s fishing while staying with Kevin and Jane Lyons at Melview Lodge. As usual the Tench didn’t let them down, and on one session Lorna had a specimen weighing in at 6lbs 3oz, the rest of the time they were having mixed bags of Roach, Hybrids, Perch and some Bream from pre-baited locations. Kevin says the fishing has been good but pre-baiting is a must, and if you can get in some bait you should get the results.

The Strokestown Lakes area still producing good mixed bags. Roosky area showing catches of Roach, Hybrids, Perch and Bream.
